Buffle heads are a beautiful little diving duck that migrates down from the North. Some birds tend to have an iridescent shine to their feathers. These little guys tend to bob along the surface of the water. Like most diving ducks, they sit pretty low in the water. Every so often, they dive!
I love watching these little guys dive! Part of what I enjoy about this photo is the fact it has captured that moment, the Buffle Heads is just breaking the water as it heads down!
