Male Bobolinks can be found in grassy meadows. You can hear their musical tinkling chime like voice, as they call from a favoured perch.
They used to be pretty common across rural Ontario. Both my grandfathers farms, used to have a lot of birds they now lack. The bobolink is one of those missing birds. The back meadow no longer supports Bobolinks, Meadowlarks or bluebirds despite being a wild grass land.
