On the way to some mud flats, I found a few Turkey hens out with their poults, rummaging along the edge of a field for breakfast!!
My grandfather put the rebar there years ago to hang a hummingbird feeder. The finches refused to use any of the perches I provided in favour of the rebar. The amusing part is, I provided a few alternate perches for them to land on while waiting a turn at the seed or before heading to the bird bath. Nope. They all stubbornly refused. Normally I would not post a shot of a finch on rebar. BUT that eye is something else when you crop down, and I couldn't resist posting.
