Tread Lightly, or Sink Deeply... After that rain, the mud along the banks of the river were soup! When the birds are sinking in the mud, you crawl! The lesser and greater yellow legs migrate down through southern Ontario twice a year. Most can be seen easily enough with binoculars or a scope. However these little guys don't seem to be as fearful of Humans, Merlins, and Coopers Hawks as other birds. But they are down from the Hudsons bay.
